THE VERGE Takeover Mission

GET YOUR V FACES ON. It is now one month away from THE VERGE release on JUNE 28th. Join the movement by helping us spread this fire to win prizes. MISSION GUIDELINES BELOW VVV

Online Takeover // June 2-10

The goal of the online takeover is to spread THE VERGE to the online world. The Internet is one of the easiest ways to reach people.

Tuesday 5/31 – Purchase Hunt Hunt Hunt and The Joyride from iTunes.

Wednesday 6/1 – Post The Verge album trailer on Facbeook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.

Thursday 6/2 – TFT Live! Session video #1 release - Twitter takeover (Post the TFT Live! Session video #1 and add #THEVERGE to the end of all of your tweets)

Friday 6/3 – Myspace takeover (Post the studio video in status updates and comments on friend’s and band’s pages)

Saturday 6/4 – Facebook takeover (Post the studio video and in status updates and comments on friend’s pages)

Sunday 6/5 – Tumblr takeover (Post the studio video)

Monday 6/6 – Livejournal, Buzznet, Xanga, Etc. takeover (Post the studio video)

Tuesday 6/7 – Get Creative

Wednesday 6/8 – Get at least one other person to purchase The Joyride from iTunes

Thursday 6/9 – TFT Live! Session video #2 release (Post video all over Facebook and Twitter)

Friday 6/10 – Myspace and Tumblr takeover (Post TFT Live! Session video #2)

Reinforce all online promo techniques throughout the week for The Joyride while completing the Local Takeover

Local Takeover // June 11-15

The goal of the local takeover is to spread THE VERGE around your town (school, work, mall, etc.). Talking directly to people is one of the most effective ways to promote. (Flyers can be found in the Promo photo album of myspace.com/TeamTFT)

Saturday 6/11 – Get Creative

Sunday 6/12 – Post flyers around the mall (music stores or anywhere potential THE VERGE fans may be)

Monday 6/13 – Play There For Tomorrow songs in public or have people listen on your iPod (at school in between classes, lunch breaks, in the parking lot)

Tuesday 6/14 – Get Creative

Wednesday 6/15 – Create hype about the 3^rd studio video being released on Thursday

The goal of the online takeover is to spread THE VERGE to the online world. The Internet is one of the easiest ways to reach people.

Thursday 6/16 – TFT Live! Session video #3 release - Twitter takeover (Post TFT Live! Session video #3 and add #THEVERGE to the end of all of your tweets)

Friday 6/17 – Myspace takeover (Post Studio Video #3 in status updates and comments on friend’s and band’s pages)

Saturday 6/18 – Facebook takeover (Post Studio Video #3 in status updates and comments on friend’s pages)

Sunday 6/19 – Tumblr takeover (Post Studio Video #3)

Monday 6/20 – Livejournal, Buzznet, Xanga, Etc. takeover (Post Studio Video #3)

Tuesday 6/21 – Get Creative

Wednesday 6/22 – Create hype about the release of Studio Video #4 being released on Thursday

Thursday 6/23 – TFT Live! Session video #4 release (Post vid on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Etc.)

Industry Takeover // June 24-28

The goal of the industry takeover is to focus promoting on music sites, at music stores, and at venues, bars, and clubs that would be most likely to play songs from THE VERGE for people to hear. (Flyers can be found in the Promo photo album of myspace.com/TeamTFT)

Friday 6/24 – Hand out flyers after a concert or at a venue, etc. Talk to people about THE VERGE

Saturday 6/25 – Talk to DJs and music stores about playing songs from THE VERGE

Sunday 6/26 – Takeover music sites including AbsolutePunk, AP, etc, getting everyone excited for the release

Monday 6/27 – Get Creative

6 v 28 v 11 – REDEMPTION DAY! Purchase THE VERGE and reinforce earlier promo techniques (Get at least one other person to purchase the album)

Send in pictures and screen shots of everything you do to ThereForTomorrowST@gmail.com. Everyone who promotes or participates in any part of this mission will receive their choice of a signed There For Tomorrow poster. The top three promoters will receive a There For Tomorrow T-shirt & The Verge necklace as well as a free download code for THE VERGE and a personalized video from the band.

These are just guidelines, feel free to combine promo techniques and step outside of the box. This mission is not meant to limit you, but instead encourage you to get creative. It is understandable that not everyone will be able to complete every part of this mission, but hopefully with our combined efforts we will be able to cover all three areas of promo.
