IT’S RE:CREATIONS WEEK //
We’ve been so eager to share what we’ve done with this EP in the building weeks to the release day. We’ve been circling the focus of the release around the date 10.19.10, as you all know if you follow us on twitter.com/therefortmrw facebook.com/therefortomorrow or right here on the TFT blog. Now that we have a global reach with the TFT Family, things get a little complicated with releases. It’s being released strictly digital for now.
Here’s a breakdown of releases per country:
Tuesday: The Americas | Canada
Wednesday: Japan
Friday: Europe | Australia
If you live outside of these domains, chances are you can grab RE:CREATIONS on the iTunes Store of one of these countries.
We originally were planning for a UK iTunes release for Monday, but have come up with something a little more special: To celebrate our tour that’ll take place in November in the United Kingdom, we’re releasing a Deluxe Edition of ‘A Little Faster’ with RE:CREATIONS attached as a re-issue for our UK fam. Everything is going so nicely with the Deathbed video on Kerrang & Scuzz, ticket sales for the tour, we HAD to supply something special for you. Cheers! 11.01.10

It is a band oriented, innovative revision of our sound with incorporated use of Hip-hop rooted, Electro-based genres w/ Rock. We integrated the live energy of live instruments with the depth and complexity of electronic synthesizers & other techniques.

The goal of the online takeover is to spread RE:CREATIONS to the online world. The Internet is one of the easiest ways to reach people.
10/1 –Twitter takeover (Add #RECREATIONS to the end of all of your tweets)
10/2 –Myspace takeover (RE:CREATIONS status and comments on friend’s and band’s pages)
10/3 –Facebook takeover (RE:CREATIONS status and comments on friend’s pages)
10/4 –Tumblr takeover (RE:CREATIONS updates)
10/5 –RE:Stories release (Post link on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Etc.)
10/6 – Livejournal, Buzznet, Xanga, Etc. takeover (RE:CREATIONS updates)
10/7 –Get Creative
10/8 –Video Trailer #1 release (Post link on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Etc.)
Local Takeover: October 9-15
The goal of the local takeover is to spread RE:CREATIONS around your town (school, work, mall, etc.). Talking directly to people is one of the most effective ways to promote. (Flyers can be found in thePromo photo album)
10/9 –Post flyers around the mall (music stores or anywhere potential RE:CREATIONS fans may be)
10/10 –Post flyers at a local venue or somewhere similar that will reach potential listeners
10/11 –Hand out flyers at school or work (put flyers in lockers, in bathrooms, or ask permission to write RE:CREATIONS updates on boards in classrooms and hallways)
10/12 –RE:Deathbed release (Post link on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Etc.)
10/13 –Play There For Tomorrow songs in public or have people listen on your iPod (at school in between classes, lunch breaks, in the parking lot)
10/14 –Get Creative
10/15 –Video Trailer #2 release (Post link on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc)
Industry Takeover: October 16-19
The goal of the industry takeover is to focus promoting on music sites, at music stores, and at venues, bars, and clubs that would be most likely to play songs from RE:CREATIONS for people to hear. (Flyers can be found in thePromo photo album)
Saturday 10/16 –Hand out flyers after a concert or at a venue
Sunday 10/17 –Talk to DJs and music stores about playing songs from RE:CREATIONS
Monday 10/18 –Takeover music sites including AbsolutePunk, AP, etc, getting everyone excited for the release
Tuesday 10/19 –Purchase RE:CREATIONS and reinforce earlier promo techniques
Incentive:
Send in pictures and screen shots of everything you do. Everyone who promotes or participates in any part of this mission will receive a There For Tomorrow poster. The top three promoters will receive a There For Tomorrow T-shirt as well as a free download code for RE:CREATIONS.
These are just guidelines, feel free to combine promo techniques and step outside of the box. This mission is not meant to limit you, but instead encourage you to get creative.
It is understandable that not everyone will be able to complete every part of this mission, but hopefully with our combined efforts we will be able to cover all three areas of promo
